A growing number of Christian families are leaving entertainment-driven, biblically shallow churches in search of faithful exposition, ordered church life, and Scripture-centered family discipleship.
This is not for everyone. And that is intentional.
Many churches reference Scripture but no longer submit to it. Over time, this produces emotional worship, doctrinal confusion, weak family discipleship, and children raised in church but not in the Word.
Entertainment-driven Christianity forms consumers, not disciples.
It creates familiarity with religious language without producing obedience to biblical truth.
The cost of this drift is generational.
Pilgrim Baptist Church exists to protect families from biblical illiteracy and to form them around the Word of God.
Our life together is shaped by Scripture, not popularity. By conviction, not convenience.
This way of life is demanding. But it is deeply stabilizing.
Serious, discerning Christian families:
Family-Integrated Worship – No age-segregated programming. Families worship together.
Expository Preaching – Verse-by-verse teaching through books of the Bible.
Reverent Atmosphere – Worship marked by order, gravity, and biblical faithfulness.
The King James Bible – Preserved, and preached without apology.
Hundreds of sermons through entire books of Scripture.
In recent years, families have prayerfully relocated in order to place themselves and their children under faithful biblical preaching and ordered church life.
This site exists to help others discern that same question carefully, soberly, and without pressure.
Move for the Word exists to help Christian families think carefully about church faithfulness, biblical authority, and long-term formation.
This site is not a church, a relocation service, or a call to move.
It is a resource for discernment.
The teaching referenced on this site comes from the regular preaching ministry of
Pilgrim Baptist Church.
